The TOL Enrichment Program services parents who require childcare for school aged children before and/or after the instructional school day. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Supervised homework time is provided. Tutorial services and enrichment activities are made available to students to enhance learning and overall development. Activities may include one or more classes such as computers, martial arts, African dance, etc. Outdoor play and arts and crafts are also part of the program.
The staff of the TOL is center is composed of a qualified center coordinator and caregivers, who are assigned to meet an optimum staff child ratio with the following objectives in mind:
- Enlarging the available school-based childcare option for school aged children;
- Establishing effective community linkages for child care services;
- Providing activities to school aged children that will increase opportunities for positive personal growth and aesthetic appreciation;
- Providing quality supervised before and after school care that will complement.
